This power station is an important part of the British government to vigorously promote “renewable energy projects, located 12 kilometers from the British North Sea surface. Can provide a total of 3.6MW wind turbines, the electrical energy can benefit the local 320,000 families.

In response to the 2020 renewable energy accounted for 20% of the total energy of the objectives of the Union, the United Kingdom does not increase carbon emissions on the basis of the construction of more than 15MW offshore small wind turbines to meet its growing energy needs. The government sector is expected, invested heavily in the construction process will replace the aging power plants, improve the power grid and the establishment of renewable energy projects.

It is understood that, in the face of practical difficulties in the development of rising costs and slower economic growth, many wind generator manufacturers companies are reducing construction time and shorten the supply chain, and install more turbines to improve energy production.

Shirley explains that examples of the benefits of wind energy abound

Posted by admin on 二月 15th, 2012

His words speak volumes about wind power says Shirley. “He closed his eyes and saw a windmill generators outside his home, pulling electricity from the breeze and bringing light to the dark valley.”

Shirley explains that examples of the benefits of wind energy abound. She adds that, according to the Global Wind Energy Council, wind energy in 2009 saved 209 million tons of carbon dioxide, which – corresponds with 21 percent of the 2008 Kyoto targets for countries.

“Wind energy has been the source of over 9 000 jobs in the manufacturing sector in Germany. With 3 000 MW of installed wind energy, about 10 000 new jobs could be created in South Africa. What’s more, the government and Eskom back wind energy development, citing energy security and the creation of jobs as significant benefits.”

But the Global Wind Energy Council warns that closing the emissions gap is a tough task, and that Africa has a long way to go.

“That said, research shows that the ‘green’ revolution has spurred significant growth within the renewable energy sector, and that South Africa’s overall economic growth will increasingly include contributions stemming from the green sector.

“With this in mind, those wanting to become involved in the green energy sector can look forward to an exciting and dynamic career. In particular, jobs in the wind energy sphere are typically multi-faceted and interdisciplinary.”

Silas Zimu, South African CEO of Suzlon, explains that the wind generator sector is well-positioned to deliver both decent employment and energy security. Putting this into perspective, he says that South Africa is gifted with the wind resource potential of nearly 57 000 MW which could be harnessed and converted into electricity.

According to Zimu, 50 jobs are created during construction related to wind related projects, and about 100 permanent jobs are created for operating and maintaining every 100 MW of installed generating capacity.

Importantly, Zimu says all of the jobs are created in the rural areas where wind turbines are typically installed; thus, wind energy contributes to sustainable community development.

The Lingang offshore wind farm is the second pilot offshore wind power generators project in Shanghai. With an investment of 1.76 billion yuan (279 million US dollars), it will be completed in September 2014.

In its 12th Five-year Plan period (2011-2015), China will accelerate the development of offshore wind power, as the country’s best sites on land have already been taken.

China has up to 750 gigawatts (gw) of exploitable wind resources in the sea, three times that of its land-based wind resources. These offshore wind resources are found off the eastern and southern coasts, near large economic centers with growing demand for power and diminishing supplies of fossil-energy resources.

According to the National Energy Bureau, China will construct 5 gw of offshore wind generator projects by 2015, representing five percent of its total wind installed capacity.

To grab a slice of the promising market, other Chinese wind turbines makers are hastening their paces to develop large-capacity offshore wind turbines. In January, Guodian United Power announced it had produced a 6-mw prototype. Goldwind expects to install a 6-mw prototype in June this year.

A wind energy company headquartered in China said Thursday it has bought a 20-megawatt wind farm planned for central Montana, and meanwhile, a nearby 10-megawatt project has started operations.

The 20-megawatt wind farm is planned near Shawmut, a small community about 75 miles northwest of Billings along the Musselshell River.

It will be built by Goldwind USA, whose Chinese parent company, Goldwind,  wind power generators bills itself as one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world.

The project’s prior owners, Volkswind, already had construction permits for the project and a deal to sell the power that will be generated to NorthWestern Energy.

Goldwind says it hopes to complete construction on the project and begin wind generator power at the Shawmut site by the end of the year.

U.S. Sen. Max Baucus said in a statement that he met with executives from the company during a 2010 trip to Beijing and urged them to do business in the state.

Meanwhile, the 10-megawatt Gordon Butte wind turbine generator farm near Martinsdale recently completed construction and became fully operational earlier this month, Gov. Brian Schweitzer said Thursday. The project was developed by Bozeman-based Oversight Resources.

The state now has 395 megawatts of wind energy generating capacity, Schweitzer said.

Horizontal wind turbines these green energy enthusiasts

Since 2008, China has been global leader in government subsidies to renewable energy like solar and home wind generator . To be sure, the Chinese government isn’t investing in green energy for its people to use–China is building 1,000 megawatts of coal power every three weeks to satisfy the demand for electricity within its borders. Instead, these subsidies are meant primarily to spur the manufacture of solar panels and wind turbines that are needed to meet Soviet-style green energy production quotas enacted by the U.S. and European countries. To put it another way, China is subsidizing the supply of green energy, while the U.S. and Europe are mandating its demand.

This is the best possible outcome, under the crummy scenario whereby demand for renewable energy is set by government. That is, the U.S. and Europe are foolish to force their people to use wind and solar power, but if they must, then it’s best that renewable energy be provided as inexpensively as possible. And thanks to subsidies, (relatively) affordable energy, and cheaper labor, China can produce small wind turbines and solar panels much more cheaply than can the U.S.

However, environmentalists, renewable energy lobbyists, and their Congressional benefactors are always looking for excuses to explain away the bad press that clings to intermittent and expensive green energy. Since 2008, they’ve had the perfect foil: The Chinese Dragon. They claim that China’s energy subsidies are allowing it to win supremacy in a supposed great green game. According to Horizontal wind turbines these green energy enthusiasts, the U.S. risks falling behind in the global market for renewables, unless the government out-subsidizes China. They would have you believe that Solyndra’s spectacular demise was caused by China, and not crony capitalism. Alas, U.S. policymakers have found these arguments persuasive. As noted above, this year we topped China in giveaways to green energy.

wind turbines manufacturers farm will generate 752 millio

Posted by admin on 一月 14th, 2012

China will construct an offshore wind farm with an installed capacity of 300 megawatts (MW) in Leting County, North China’s Hebei province, making it the country’s largest such project.
The feasibility report for the wind farm located near Puti Island in Bohai Sea has recently passed expert reviews that were commissioned by the National Energy Bureau (NEB).
Under the program, the wind farm, built with a total investment of 5.76 billion yuan ($914 million), will comprise 100 units of 3MW offshore turbines. The approval authority will complete relevant procedures to sanction the project at the end of this year, and the project will be connected to the grid before the end of 2015.
When it goes into operation, the wind turbines manufacturers farm will generate 752 million kilowatt-hours (kwh) of electric power annually, as well as 730 million yuan in annual sales revenues. It was also pay 58 million yuan in taxes to the local government.
Leting County has 124.9 kilometers of coastline, or a quarter of Hebei’s total coastline. The county boasts rich exploitable wind power resources, totaling 3.7 gigawatts (GW).
The county government established an offshore wind power development plan in early 2011. The NEB gave its approval for the county to prepare for the 300MW offshore wind power project in June 2011.
China has rich wind power resources. According to the China Meteorological Administration, China has up to 750GW in exploitable wind resources in seas, or three times that of on-shore small wind turbines resources.
But offshore wind farms remain a tiny portion of China’s total installed wind power capacity.
In June 2010, the Shanghai East Sea Bridge Offshore Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 102MW, went into operation, making it the country’s first offshore home  wind power generator farm to operate commercially.
Meanwhile, construction on Longyuan Power’s intertidal wind farm is going smoothly in Rudong County, east China’s Jiangsu Province. This farm is currently China’s largest, with installed capacity of 150MW, and the entire project is expected to be completed in March.

China wind generators would continue to extend all possible assistance

The project is being executed in collaboration with a Chinese company Three Gorges, which has been mandated to set up total 20 wind farms of 50MW each during next five years. This is the company%s first project in Pakistan, while in total, it is third wind power project initiated in the country.
Pakistan has vast potential to generate electricity through alternative energy sources, which is reflective from the fact that alone the Thatta district has the capacity of producing 15,000 MW windmill power.
The government has introduced an %effective and attractive% renewable energy policy, which is bringing foreign investment in the power sector. Special attention is being paid on other resources to produce electricity like hydro, hydel and wind, which are cheapest modes of generating power. Besides, the focus is being given on the Thar coal reserves to use in power production.
The Thar coal reserves worth USD 25 trillion have potential to generate 5,000 MW electricity for at least 800 years to meet growing energy demand of the country. While, the wind power generated from coal gasification is the cheapest than other sources like furnace oil, natural gas and hydel.
According to a report, a single reserve in Thar has about 850 trillion cubic feet coal.
Alternative Energy Development Board has set a target to generate 1,500 MW wind power by 2013, which seems achievable because of the serious and accelerated efforts of the government.
There is a plan to inaugurate one wind power plant every month in 2012, expressing the hope that more foreign companies would invest in power sector of the country.
Chinese ambassador reports says that cooperation in energy sector would further strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. China wind generators would continue to extend all possible assistance to Pakistan in meeting the increasing electricity shortage.
